The Eaton Collection holds the largest collection of fanzines at any public institution. The collection began with a donation from popular writer, Terry Carr, with important contributions by Fred Patten, Bruce Pelz, Rick Sneary, Richard Brown, Marty Cantor, Mike Glyer, William Haskell, and David Langford.

The collection now contains more than 75,000 distinct fanzine titles, more than 100,000 issues, and fans continue to donate to its holdings nearly every day.

The recent addition of fanzines & other fan-facing magazines from the personal collection of Latin American science fiction scholar Moisés Hasson is a significant expansion into Futurismo Latino publications, including Vortice, Nuevomundo, Gestalt, SF (Cine), Homo Gestalt, Boletin CaCyf from Argentina; Boletin Sochif, Wonderlands, Nadir, Nadir Extra, Quantor from Chile; and Nexus, Maravillas, Enciclopedia Galactica Trantor from Spain.

The Fanzines digital collection contains over 1000 items from 12 different publications. The digital collection is a subset of the larger Collection of Fanzines from UCR Library Special Collections. The content on this site is for use by campus affiliated researchers only and requires users to login via the central authentication service. View the Fanzines digital collection.
